The Operations function is responsible for the effective planning, organising, coordinating, and controlling of resources needed to deliver Insight’s solutions by proactively managing people, products, technology, information, and time. 

 

The Purchasing team endeavours to source and develop mutually beneficial relationships with new suppliers to negotiate and procure goods, materials, and services, ensuring Insight can meet and exceed operational demand. The Purchasing team are responsible for supporting the management off all inventory and supply, ensuring Insight attains the best value for goods and services acquired, by achieving specif ic revenue and margin goals, and minimising inventory exposure through strategic supplier selection, tendering, and cost estimating. 

 

The Special Bid & Deal Registration team takes overall ownership of vendor deal registration and special bid programmes. All activities are conducted within Insight’s operational and f inancial, process and procedures, and are designed to maximise Insight’s profitability, whilst maintaining the best possible client facing commercials. 

 

The Special Bid & Deal Registration Specialist compliments the sales functions within Insight by providing specialist support and guidance, and by taking both proactive and reactive action on any price protection, enhancement, or negotiation with a vendor. 

 

 

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

 

  • Ensure a working understanding of Insight’s key Vendor Partner Deal Registration and Special Bid Programmes. 

  • Build relationships with account management teams from the key vendor partners. 

  • Demonstrate successful Deal Registration and Special Bid approvals and negotiations. 

  • Collaborate internally and externally to ensure delivery of desired results in line with business objectives. 

  • Contribute as necessary to vendor or internal audit. 

  • Suggest ideas to management and assist with the implementation of such ideas in areas where the Deal Registration & Special Bid management team can improve its service to internal customers and/or vendors.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE 

 

  • Ability to build relationships, set expectations and negotiate with IT Vendors 

  • High level of written and spoken English 

  • Fully conversant with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, and Word) 

  • Ability to succeed in a high-pressured environment against strict time constraints, whilst maintaining attention to detail and prioritising workload 

  • Ability to analyse, interpret and clearly communicate sales data 

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, ability to liaise with a wide variety of people 

  • Good time management skills 

 

 

LOCATION

 

The position can be based in Netherlands or United Kingdom. Possibility for hybrid working, remote with occasional visits to the office/client sites.
