The Cloud Enablement Specialist for Microsoft Cloud solutions (CESM) is a key role in our Microsoft software sales support organization. The CESM for MS Cloud is responsible for onboarding, training, setting up and managing a portfolio of clients. Incumbents strive to understand each client’s business, own relationships, facilitate onboarding activities, and provide regular updates and guidance.

 

CESM’s are accountable for the client’s ongoing growth, use of Insight for cloud services and solutions around Microsoft, and for turning them into Insight advocates.

 

The CESM for Microsoft cloud has his or her own named accounts, but are accountable for the overall success of our team, and ultimately all of our clients.

 

 Essential Job Functions

 

  • Onboard all assigned MS Cloud clients, consult with and understand their needs, goals, and their success metrics and deployment plan.
  • Organize and conduct minimum monthly meetings/touch points with all clients assigned.
  • Analyze and keep track of account health on a recurring basis
  • Leverage and evolve client success playbook and identify retention and growth best practices that can be fed back into client success practices.
  • Train clients on basics of Microsoft Cloud administration.
  • Provide demonstrations and product overviews in partnership with our Microsoft pre-sales team. 
  • Respond in a timely and helpful manner to client requests, account issues, leveraging resources from across the company as needed to get the job done.
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships across other functional teams, including Sales, Product Management, Services, Finance, and Support, to maintain a best-in-class experience across the client lifecycle.
  • Provide concierge like services in coordination with Insight’s consulting services team.
  • Work closely with the CLEAR Advisor team to drive execution of the EA touch plan, where Cloud products and services are owned on a Microsoft Enterprise agreement

 

This position is expected to maintain Microsoft certifications and a comprehensive understanding specific to Microsoft Cloud and related licensing programs and services.

 

This position will be expected to communicate with a diverse group of end consumers such as Procurement, IT Professionals, Training Departments, HR Personnel, and Managers utilizing a variety of media as designated in support of the appropriate activity or offering.  Through coordination and collaboration with Insight resources, this position will convey Insight’s –value in providing oversight of the clients’ Microsoft Cloud solutions.

Essential Functions of the Job:

  • Assures quality execution of smartEA (EA Touch Plan) activities through coordination of appropriate resources, and direct client engagement as needed to fulfill the touch.
  • Serve as the direct line of contact with Microsoft Cloud Clients for day to day questions, as an extension of the sales team
  • Utilizes resources to provide best in class pre and post-sales support of applicable contractual licensing agreements.
  • Facilitate conference calls, on-line meetings, and other media as required to fulfill requirements and deliver value as applicable to position responsibilities.
  • Develop and maintain expertise on the manufacturer's products, programs, competition and the industry.
  • Organize and achieve timely and effective Cross Sell and Up-Sell activities.
  • Maintain current and comprehensive process procedures, flows, and tools in support of applicable publisher programs.
  • Occasional travel may be required in compliance with Insight’s travel policy
  • Provide support as needed in closing specific business opportunities
  • Drive sales enablement goals through direct customer contact
  • Identify specific business opportunities during customer conference calls and up-sell where applicable.
  • Work with sales on lead opportunities provided by the manufacturer
  • Provide measurable data to management on related activities.
  • Assist in Pipeline authentication on applicable deals and opportunities.
  • Communicate and provide feedback to Insight Product Manager and Manufacturer Representatives regarding sales/competition trends, and product awareness via weekly meetings.

 

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

 

  • Computer hardware/software knowledge is required. 
  • The willingness and ability to self learn much of the software licensing information that is necessary to serve as a resource for Insight Account Executives is required. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills are a must. 
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills are a must.
  • Knowledge of the sales process combined with the ability to establish and maintain rapport with both internal and external customers is required. 
  • Must understand the strategic objectives and possess the ability to facilitate decisions and undertake actions that balance customer needs with available product solutions and company policies.
  • Demonstrate the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from sales associates, sales managers and customers.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are a must and proven telephone skills are required. 

 

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

 

Education and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, college degree preferred
  • A minimum of at least one manufacturer or industry certification.
  • Minimum of 3 years of software licensing experience required.
  • A sales support background is also desired.
