This role is within our Residency Offering, which is a solution that provides strategic technical resources to our customers on a contractual basis.

Job Location: Los Angeles, CA (90210) (Hybrid)

Pay rate: $80-$105/hr W2

Schedule: M-F (8am – 5pm)

Duration: 6-month contract-to-hire

Your Responsibilities Include:

Develop systems and tools to improve the security properties, DLP, Device Hardening, SaaS security, and Zero Trust networks.
Develop and execute a security strategy and policies for IT services and SaaS applications within the businesses.
Review and provide architectural guidance for infrastructure systems, account lifecycle, fleet management and automation.
Execute and improve security reviews and consulting processes with runbooks and automation.
Implement & monitor security tools (SIEM, vulnerability management, XDR) for potential incidents and setup preventative measures.
Manage Identity and Access Management platforms.
Conduct vulnerability and compliance scanning using existing tools.
Remain informed on trends and issues in the security industry, including current and emerging technologies, techniques, and procedures.
Monitor security systems for alerts, investigate alerts, and support policy/procedure and audit/assessment projects with review of technical information.
Evaluate/analyze and monitor systems, applications, and processes for security and compliance issues, and work with our security consultants to advise on how to develop secure solutions or remediate risks.
Write technical requirements and document any security architectures.
Engage in technical problem solving across multiple technologies.
Complete data analysis to include forensics investigations and incident reviews.
Manage security technologies with a focus on security operations, incident response, forensics, vulnerability management, and insider threat.
Educate and train staff on information system security best practices.
Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for implemented security systems and solutions, maintaining documentation, and advising others on their underlying technologies and operation.

What you’ll need to succeed:

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent years of experience in a related technical field
3+ years of experience as a Security Engineer
Experience in vulnerability assessment, control allocation, and risk mitigation.
Hands-on experience in network security (firewalls, VPN, proxies, Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), web application firewalls, CASB) is desired.
Competency in: macOS, Linux, Windows, Google Workspace, Okta.
Knowledge of networking (WAN, LAN, WLAN, etc.) and knowledge of system, database, and application security is desired.
Familiarity with enterprise security controls and security best practices for Windows, Linux, and Mac systems
Hands on experience in identity management, endpoint security, data loss prevention, SaaS Security, Zero Trust, and network security.
Proficiency in threat modeling risks and driving the implementation of preventative controls.
