As an APAC Microsoft Alliance Specialist with Insight, you will orchestrate the relationship with Microsoft, understanding objectives and aligning them with Insight’s GTM virtual teams to educate and enable internal teams, Microsoft teams and external clients on our value proposition. We will count on you to drive demand and grow market share, exceed sales targets and maximise profitability. Along the way, you will become the Microsoft Portfolio Specialist both internally and externally.

Leadership: The Manager for this role is Athena Thompson, Director Marketing and Strategic Partnerships APAC. Athena is based in Sydney.

 

 

As an APAC Microsoft Alliance Specialist, you will get to do:

 

Alliance Management

  • Understand Microsoft growth strategies and orchestrate the Rhythm of the Business (RoB).
  • Microsoft Engagement Mapping.
  • Manage Microsoft APAC designation requirements with global teams, and partner centre updates and reporting, including accreditations aligned to Insight’s global Microsoft team and APAC Operations.

 

Microsoft & Insight Programs/ Operations & Governance:

  • Develop, maintain and share expertise about Microsoft Partner Centre, our solutions, offerings and program enrolments to maximise program attainment, profitability and partner income opportunities.
  • Be the key APAC Insight knowledge base on Microsoft programs and Partner Centre.
  • Own the Microsoft sales enablement and training calendar.
  • Report on the monthly and quarterly progress to strategic goals and metrics, with the APAC metric owners.

 

Sales and Marketing & GTMs:

  • Track performance against Microsoft local and global targets.
  • Ensure that Insight’s value proposition, offerings and client wins are shared across Microsoft teams.
  • Work with internal teams to ensure our marketplace offerings are updated and adapt as the marketplace does.
  • Ensure Partner Centre Leads and Referrals are actioned, managed and tracked in Partner Centre and QBRs.
  • Partner with the Marketing team on developing successful marketing campaigns/ tactics leveraging Microsoft co-op allocations.

We are looking for an APAC Microsoft Alliance Specialist with:

 

  • Microsoft Cloud experience and capability: Extensive experience in a vendor management / alliance management capacity, and extensive experience in IT, software/ Services or Solutions companies.
  • Strong understanding of sales processes and solution-selling techniques for the Corporate, Enterprise, and Public Sector markets. A strong grasp of the Go to Markets relevant to today’s CxO leaders, and the campaigns and tactics to persuade and prove the ROI of Insight and Microsoft to clients and prospects.
  • Must be familiar with vendor portals, marketing funding and supplier reimbursement programs and processes.
  • Comfortable presenting to Executive audiences, as well as Sales and Solutions teams and external audiences in small and larger groups. Strong in-person and Teams’ presenting expertise is required.
