About the role

Leadership: The Manager for this role is Bruce Anderson. Bruce is based in Brisbane and leads Data and AI for East Coast Australia and NZ. Bruce will be committed to providing ongoing development opportunities to help you reach your full potential. As a member of our Data & AI team, you will be part of a supportive and collaborative environment that fosters growth, innovation, knowledge sharing and creativity.  

As a Technical Specialist, you will be a delivery focused technology specialist, who is viewed as a trusted advisor by our clients..  The Technical Specialist is responsible for working directly with customers to deliver and execute Insight’s current and future services offerings.  The Technical Specialist will also be responsible for assisting with the development of Intellectual Property (IP) and participate in presales activities as subject matter experts. We will count on you to act as a team lead on smaller engagements. Along the way, you will get to:

• Provide consulting services including discovery, design, build, deployment, test, pilot, documentation, and transition.
• Assist customers in resolving highly technical and complex problems.
• Develop and deploy machine learning models and algorithms to solve business problems and improve decision-making. 
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their strategic objectives and identify opportunities to leverage data and deliver data-driven solutions. 
• Collaborate with data architects, data engineers, developers, and business stakeholders to design data solutions that meet business requirements.

What we’re looking for

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Pyspark, and SQL 

• Generative AI: Expertise developing solutions using generative AI services like Azure Open AI, Gemini and Amazon Bedrock. Knowledge and experience using popular frameworks for developing AI agents such as Autodev and Crew 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and make data-driven decisions. 

• Extensive experience working with large data sets with hands-on technology skills to design and build robust data architectures
