As a Technology Specialist (End User Devices) you provide professional solutions consultancy and you have overall accountability for the growth of the Product portfolio. You will be part of a Technology Specialist team at our Insight office in Apeldoorn. Through the input of your specialist knowledge the Technology Specialist provides an interface between our Account Management and Technical Services Divisions. 

 

This key role provides a valuable resource which directly impacts on our capability to understand our clients’ current and future needs, to build and deliver solutions which support the growth of their business. You can expect to work with vendors like HPi, Lenovo, Dell and Microsoft.

 

Key duties and responsibilities 

  • Maintain up-to-date and relevant Product knowledge and  accreditations; maintain professional know-how by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing professional networks, participating in professional groups and organisations. 
  • Ensure deep qualification of client requirements to be able to shape and respond to a client’s needs guiding both the sales and technical teams to support opportunities which includes, mapping RFI/RFP requirements, writing proposals or assisting with business case construction, scoping, managing and executing customer pilots and Proof of Concepts. 
  • Contribute to the Sales Cycle, participating in clients calls, facilitating product demonstrations and value discovery workshops and client immersion experiences. 
  • Generate new business and follow up on implementations to ensure satisfaction and identify potential additional opportunities. 
  • Accountable for the achievement of the gross profit and business targets for the Product within their scope of responsibility.  
  • Build and maintain client relationships, ensuring the client is satisfied in their interaction with, leading to an enhancement of the Divisional Account Executive’s relationship. 
  • Provide accurate and timely weekly reporting of pipeline, forecast and activities.  
  • Conduct regular training for sales teams and run regular education sessions to improve product knowledge and deal conversion rates 
  • Identify new business targets from ( non ) hardware devices portfolio customers of Insight and competitor client bases 
  • Assess clients / prospects in order to retrieve relevant information regarding hardware devices refresh dates and standardised portfolio. 
  • Proactively generate own leads and penetrate the target accounts and develop a portfolio of business clients and prospect groups to build profitable market share in hardware lines of business. 
  • Develop new Multi Year Annuity opportunities and contract wins for all strategic Hardware devices vendors for Insight. 
  • Grow existing revenues by increasing hardware share of wallet.   
  • Engage and work with  (Generic Account manager) to realise larger business opportunities. 
  • Qualify client needs and requirements and provide written quotations and proposals 

 

Desired skills 

  • In-depth knowledge of Devices, workstations and relevant hardware and accessories 
  • Extensive sales experience: able to win client confident, deliver customer demonstrations with credibility and professional authority.  
  • Experience scoping, managing and executing  customer pilots and Proof of Concepts.  
  • Previous IT industry experience gained in either a partner, reseller or services business  
  • Fluent Dutch and English language skills verbal and written  
  • Teamwork skills, negotiation skills and goal orientated and thrive for Results
