AWS Senior Engineer (Remote)



As an AWS Senior Engineer you will utilize DevOps tools, techniques, process, and technical proficiency for deploying applications, elastic scaling, automation, orchestration, and observability for internal and client cloud infrastructures.  You will focus on Insight’s core platform functionality that services managed cloud environments as well as assist in implementing and troubleshooting issues with client cloud estates and DevOps tools.  You will design, develop, and maintain CI/CD Pipelines, code repos, Infrastructure as Code templates, K8 clusters and container registries.  You will lead discussions with clients, reviewing cloud architectures, governance policies and finding cloud estate improvements.  You will advise clients and teammates on best practices for new service deployments


•    Develop and maintain standards for Serverless, Containerization, CI/CD build and release tools, Orchestration and Configuration Management
•    Work with clients to identify opportunities to improve security, establish governance, cost management, and scalability of their cloud estate
•    Subject Matter Expert for AWS cloud services, Infrastructure as Code and Pipeline in client environments
•    Identifying and evaluating new cloud technologies, vendors, and methodologies to solve complex problems
•    Support cloud operations by integrating developed Infrastructure as Code into CI/CD pipeline builds
•    Participate in cross-functional projects, and take ownership of individual feature efforts
•    Lead and/or participate on teams designing, developing, and testing build/release pipelines and Infrastructure as Code solutions for IaaS and PaaS cloud platforms
•    Ensure the successful delivery of services to our clients
•    Ability to present technical content to all levels of customer staff and able to align technical topics to business objectives
•    Troubleshoot issues with serverless, containers, IaC and Azure DevOps pipelines
•    Maintain familiarity with all Insight services to create seamless collaboration for delivery
•    Manage operational workflow through Azure Devops Pipelines, Boards and ServiceNow
•    Lead requirement gathering and testing efforts


•    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent IT work experience + certifications
•    Architect level certification in AWS (Certified Solutions Architect
•    Minimum of 2 years of cloud experience with AWS services: Compute, Network, Storage, Containers, Web, Database
•    Minimum of 2 years app/dev experience including serverless and one or more of the following languages: Node.js, C#, Go, Python and/or Ruby
•    Minimum of 2 years of experience building and releasing applications using CI/CD tools and orchestration with infrastructure-as-code
•    Experience with Terraform or alternate IaC tools like Salt, Ansible or Chef
•    Experience with troubleshooting application performance issues using tools such as Datadog APM, New Relic APM or Dynatrace. 
•    Expertise with GitOps with Git and CI/CD with Azure Devops Pipelines
•    Expertise with containerization platforms preferably Kubernetes, but AKS and ECS is acceptable secondaries
•    Previous Consulting or Client Service Delivery experience a plus

Salary Range: $120,000 - $140,000 + variable bonus
