Insight is looking for a Business Development Specialist  to work with sales and marketing teams, helping uncover and accelerate opportunities that enable our clients to drive business impact with IT, spark innovation, and build strategic advantage. This is an impact-driving role in our Solutions Integrator GTM team. This role will help support Insight’s growth for a $4 Billion division.

The Business Development Specialist  helps drive Insight's revenue by uncovering, nurturing and qualifying future opportunities in client, target and white space accounts, setting phone and face-to-face appointments for Insight sales and service teams, and following up on various lead activities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with go to market / marketing teams and the field sales organization to identify, research and vet prospects, target accounts and projects.
  • Reach out through various channels (phone, email, social media, research apps, etc) to client decision makers identified through marketing programs, sales representatives, and other means.
  • Follow up on inbound leads and inquiries
  • Introduce and positively represent Insight, promote our competencies, and discuss the Insight solution integrator value proposition.
  • Uncover, understand, qualify and clearly communicate client and prospect needs
  • Nurture and qualify opportunities
  • Uncover and drive interest in solutions and services
  • Prioritize opportunities by decision making time frame & buying stage
  • Secure face-to-face or phone appointments for sales teams, to build pipeline
  • Track and follow results of appointments set
  • Assist with determining ROI of marketing campaigns and business development efforts


What we need:

  • BS/BA in relevant field is ideal, but not required
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, and manage time and priorities.
  • Interest in a future in sales, sales operations, or other opportunities in solutions integration
  • Excellent phone and communication skills
  • Ability to learn and share technical topics 
  • Ability to effectively communicate with broad range of technical people 
  • Familiar with MS Office, Outlook and customer relationship management applications
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage and track multiple campaigns with various stakeholders
  • Able to multi-task; Self driven.
