Managed Security Services Practice Architect

The Managed Security Services Practice Architect is a participant in the security strategy of Insight Managed Security Services and responsible for the technical design and architecture of the service offering. This individual will also be a leader to our SOC Engineering team who drive the delivery of our technologies to our clients and develop Insight’s IP. The MSS Practice Architect will lead all projects for capabilities development and consult with stakeholders within the business.

 

Responsibilities

  • Act as the technical lead for the Managed Security Services practice and ongoing capabilities development,
  • Lead all project phases leveraging established framework to ensure quality results and accomplish business objectives, including Define, Measure, Analyze, improve (Implement), and Control (Operate),
  • Lead stakeholder workshops and requirements, technical design documentation spanning holistic enterprise service offering implementation, establish onboarding process and best practices to deliver highest quality outcomes and client satisfaction results,
  • Process creation including documentation (flow charts, swim lanes, etc.),
  • Establish MSSP organization and service capability and maturity strategy, framework, and roadmap to accomplish maturation goals focused on business performance and data-driven decisions, establishing security provider service performance metrics
  • Technical lead for operations teams including SOC Engineers and SOC Analysts
  • SOC technology architecture ownership – design and architect implementation, lead related product activities
  • Document problems and resolution for future reference.
  • Mentor and train other threat analysts, SOC engineers, and other Insight personnel project-related.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology or similar. Position requires 5-7 years hands-on experience within similar industry. Familiarity with the following systems required: SIEM, Next Generation Firewall, End Point Protection, Vulnerability Assessment, Windows, UNIX, Linux, and other common IT platforms and cybersecurity tools. Must have a proven track record of working cohesively with clients and other team members.
  • Strong analytical abilities and professional office experience needed. Familiarity with large account environments and protocol required. Excellent troubleshooting skills needed. Must have the ability to keep current with alternative systems and technology and make technology recommendations to management consistent with the company’s business and systems strategies. Must have the ability to multitask with strong organization and time management skills. Must be able to respond effectively to inquiries or complaints within a timely fashion.
