We are looking for a Microsoft Alliance Business Development Manager to drive awareness of Insight’s Digital Innovation (DI) Professional Solutions offerings to Microsoft. As a Microsoft Alliance Business Development Manager, you will oversee the strategic and day-to-day communication with Microsoft’s Executive Leadership, Channel Sales Executives (CSEs) and Account Teams in your assigned geography.  


You will own the rhythm of the business cadence with Microsoft CSEs and other partner-facing Microsoft teams in addition to cultivating strong relationships with Microsoft Account teams in your assigned geography. The goal of this role is to improve joint success through strategic initiatives, amplify the Insight brand as a local advocate, and drive pipeline through “Sell With” and “Sell Through” sales motions.



  • Evangelize Insight, our capabilities, and offerings to Microsoft teams as part of your everyday responsibilities
  • Nurture and grow relationships within our partnership with Microsoft, keeping a strict cadence in place in key focus markets
  • Conduct in-market/local services pipeline reviews with Microsoft CSEs in your assigned markets
  • Constantly communicate how Insight’s solutions align with Microsoft’s current strategy
  • Create optimal strategy for leveraging Microsoft’s business investment programs in combination with Insight offers to propel Insight’s DI services business
  • Solicit Microsoft input on our go-to-market strategy (at both the market- and account-levels) and drive change that fuels revenue growth in support of Microsoft-based services and solutions
  • Take ownership of key partner-related escalations and issues in cooperation with internal Insight departments


Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in partner alliance management with a proven track record of success
  • Strong relationships with Microsoft SMC Operating Unit leadership and account teams
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft technologies across the Azure Cloud arena
  • Must have a history of work for Microsoft or a Microsoft Systems Integrator (SI)
  • Executive presence, excellent communication skills and solid presentation skills for internal/external executives or end-user audiences
  • Thorough understanding of enterprise sales and solutions selling
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Technology preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
