Public Sector Marketing Specialist

The Marketing Specialist, Campaigns & Content is responsible for ensuring the creation, implementation, and timely execution of integrated campaigns to drive awareness and profitable growth for Insight Public Sector.

This role will be responsible for connecting with key leaders on campaign strategy and planning, collaborating with Digital Specialists to develop and optimize campaigns, managing content creation from ideation to publication, and coordinating with internal teams to manage partner and public sector campaigns.

This role must be well-informed and passionate about all things campaigns & content marketing. They try to keep up with writing best practices and marketing industry trends. They regularly communicate with technical experts and strive to be a subject matter expert in the public sector (Education, State & Local or Federal Government). They selectively execute content writing projects and engage outside vendors as required. They are a team player who is comfortable interfacing with cross-functional teams, vendors and partners.

 What you need to do to be successful:

  • Work collaboratively with sales and marketing teams on the planning and execution of various marketing and sales enablement activities.
  • Develop marketing campaigns that drive measurable improvements in company performance (CoOp investment, revenue, gross profit, and client retention) including a full content strategy.
  • Write and/or edit content as needed in service of strategic campaign objectives. Content includes landing pages, ad copy, emails, social media posts, newsletters, infographics, eBooks, case studies, articles amd whitepapers.
  • Research and analyze data to develop targeted segments and tactics for consistent targeted marketing communication.
  • Analyze client and lead behavior to become the subject matter expert about which combination of channels, messages, creative, delivery methods and timing work best
  • Ensure timely execution of marketing campaigns including the collection of collateral, interfacing with internal teams, scheduling, and reporting.  
  • Coordinates internal resources to deliver marketing activities.
  • Collaborate with Insight’s Brand Team to ensure content supports the marketing department’s overall brand initiatives. This role should act as a brand champion and guardian of Insight’s voice and style.


 What we want:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university
  • Minimum 3 – 5 years of experience working in communications, public relations, or journalism
  • Ability to write creatively for a variety of print and digital materials
  • Experience in writing for and marketing to the public sector (B2G)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite of programs
  • Should be able to effectively communicate to all constituencies and levels in written and verbal formats
  • Must be a team player
  • Ability to work well in cross-functional teams
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines

This role can be located near an Insight Public Sector office location if desired.
