Multi Cloud Architect

As a Multi Cloud Architect and Manager, you’ll be a Subject Mater Expert on diverse and challenging engagements at client sites. You’ll be skilled across the full lifecycle from solutions scoping and shaping through to delivery and running. Having a significant amount of IT experience, extensive technical understanding, strong consulting background, stakeholder management and leadership skills are essential.

This role will require having established leadership skills in directing a diverse team of consulting and technical delivery talent. Provides onsite, hands-on client engagement management which involves the day-to-day running of the consulting services portfolio.  Helps teams flourish by guiding efforts, directing talents, and expanding knowledge and skills to deliver strategic solutions to clients. They are the on-the-ground leaders, directing work efforts, analyzing and reviewing proposals from the team, providing appropriate solutions to problems, and making decisions on the way forward by acting as liaisons between the client and the delivery team.

What you’ll do at Insight:

  • Design, and deliver cloud-native, hybrid, and multi-cloud solutions
  • Migrate enterprise workloads to AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Facilitate strategy, roadmap, design, and planning workshops
  • Ensure that customer expectations are appropriately set and managed
  • Lead technical project teams in the delivery of consulting service offerings
  • Automate cloud deployments, as well as build CI/CD pipeline to support Cloud-Based workloads
  • Work as an individual contributor or technical lead on delivery engagements
  • Assist in the sales process as it relates to providing technical guidance and estimations to the project effort
  • Lead both client and delivery teams though a methodology to achieve desired outcomes
  • Develop and drive repeatable methodologies to improve delivery efficiencies and client satisfaction
  • Mentor both Delivery resources and foster executive level client advisory maturity
  • Technology thought leader and evangelist
  • Maintain a broad knowledge and understanding of the current and anticipated future state of the IT marketplace including IT trends, technologies, and standards
  • Mentor to team members


What you’ll need to join Insight:

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience as a senior IT leader
  • Minimum of 5 years of technology consulting experience
  • Minimum of 7 years of cloud architecture experience on AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Platforms and tools: Jenkins, Artifactory, Python, other scripting languages
  • AWS, Azure or GCP trained / certified architect – Professional Certification required as well as maintaining, or add to, each year of employment
  • Experience with one or more of Ansible, Terraform, Chef, Puppet utilized for deploying both on-premises and cloud platforms
  • Strong experience in enterprise storage, compute, network, data protection, and/or load balancing architectures, VMware
  • Very strong leadership skills – able to manage and interface with a variety of stake holders both internal to Insight and within our clients
  • At least 3 years of experience managing direct reports
  • Performs people management responsibilities including recruiting, career planning, mentoring, and performance management for all individuals in their organization
  • Proven ability to drive cross functional team alignment
  • Proven ability to have conversations internally and with the client that are authoritative to drive to a desired outcome
  • Proven ability to work across various levels of internal and external customer experience levels (executives all the way down to engineers)
  • Ability to solve complex, abstract problems
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, good listener, ability to connect with different personalities
  • Executive presence
  • Security: Identity management, security monitoring, various compliance frameworks (NIST), and a deep understanding of core security concepts and processes as it relates to securing Hybrid & Cloud technologies is a plus




Comp Range $150,000 - $185,000

dependent on location and experience
