Sr. Manager, Security Portfolio

As a Senior Manager, Security Practice & Portfolio at Insight you’ll oversee and help the business units to monitor technology trends within assigned jurisdiction and ensure that Insight represents the leading technologies within this area and to develop Insight-specific services and tools to assist in selling integrated solutions. Tools may include services briefs, white papers, presentation slides, case studies, research analysis or other items that assist in educating sales, architects and clients on the solutions with some specific area of expertise.  The Senior Manager will build business plans around internal based service and solution initiatives and will work collaboratively with the cross functional practice management team and marketing department.  The Senior Manager will also provide training to the sales organization on technologies, services, and solutions in area of responsibility and may be requested to speak at industry or marketing events. 


Evangelize specific, new, or evolving practice areas and executing the necessary steps to enable and scale the business to consume the practice, selling solutions with integrated product and service components.


In this role, you will support many areas of the business based on the need to establish new capabilities or focus.  The role will both influence the org and other leaders as well as take direct ownership of development and execution components.


 What you’ll do at Insight:

  • Responsible for solution development, positioning and execution including research, sales calls, sales meetings, conference calls, etc.
  • Interact with partners to maintain sr. solution leadership relationships evangelizing Insight value.  Stay current on technologies and roadmaps. Provide input on product directions.  Manage transition of contracts and pricing with product management. Coordinate demo capabilities (virtual or physical).
  • Create selling tools in support of solutions, services and architectures including views of peers in integrated business units internally – developing the full Insight solution value (SOW, client pitches, battle cards, partner integration, LOBs integration, etc) for best practice scale
  • Deliver enablement activities in support of products and architectures with cross practice team. 
  • Track trends in technology area, including attending shows, tracking industry media sources, meeting with new perspectives, etc.
  • Coordinate the rollout of new architectures & solutions, testing, etc.
  • Attend training to stay current in field.
  • Evangelist to clients, partners and prospects with the vision of the business value and view of market direction around area of expertise
  • Assist in public relations activities including speaking at seminars and/or trade shows, writing articles/white papers for magazines and newsletters, and meeting with analysts.

What you’ll need to join Insight:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, or Technology discipline or 4 years related industry experience in lieu of degree
  • 10+ years of sales, consulting, product marketing, or product management in computer technology-related organization
  • Training in security, networking, enterprise computer solutions sales and/or marketing
  • Training in writing or public speaking helpful.
  • Able to travel, approximately 25%.
