Our Next Networking Practice Architect:

 

Is passionate about emerging technologies and creating secure network solutions to solve our clients’ complex problems. Enjoys working with our clients, sales team, and delivery consultants to provide pre-sales and post-sales support, ensuring that Insight delivers astonishing client service on every engagement. Is energized by being the networking subject matter expert for a Fortune 500 company and developing a strong community of interest among the sales executives, sales engineers and delivery consultants who specialize in networking.

 

How You Will Spend Your Time

 

  • 20% Pre-Sales: meeting with clients and providing technical QA for statements of work
  • 45% Offering Development: launching new offerings with Marketing, Sales and Delivery
  • 20% Delivery QA: engaging with clients and consultants in a billable capacity on projects
  • 15% Partner Collaboration: working with partners like Cisco to stay abreast of new offerings

 

Roles and Responsibilities

 

  • Supports the practice lead (business lead) in business development and sales engineering
  • Serves as a Subject Matter Expert for the practice, presenting networking topics and solutions to clients, partners and Insight teammates
  • Manages networking services pipeline for a defined territory
  • Provides technical review and approval for networking proposals and statements of work
  • Develops repeatable packaged offerings, including tools for pre-sales and delivery
  • Collaborates with Marketing to develop and launch new offerings
  • Trains Sales and Delivery teammates on new offerings
  • Assists Practice Leader in build-out of technical development plans
  • Defines and manages practice-specific delivery methodology, templates and tools
  • Provides oversight and QA for each project within the practice
  • Conducts technical interviews of networking consulting candidates
  • Coordinates with other Consulting Services teammates to continually improve our delivery methodology and share best practices and lessons learned

 

What You Will Need to be Successful

 

  • A bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or demonstrated performance in a technical work environment
  • A current advanced certification in Cisco Networking; CCIE preferred
  • Minimum eight years of experience architecting, designing, and implementing advanced network solutions
  • Previous consulting/professional services experience
  • Strong ability to cultivate relationships with clients, Insight teammates, and partners
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate both technical and abstract concepts in a clear and concise manner
  • Effective multi-tasking skills
  • Demonstrated experience with the following:
  • Supporting Consulting services sales:

 

    • Participating in client-facing sales calls
    • Developing the scope and price for complex network solutions,
    • Creating proposals, RFP responses and statements of work
  • Architecting and implementing complex Cisco infrastructure solutions
  • Advanced Cisco and Meraki route/switch and wireless knowledge and experience
  • Advanced knowledge that includes, but is not limited to:
  • Design, implementation and operation of high-availability, multi-layer, and multi-vendor secure network infrastructures
    • Layer2/Layer3 boundaries
    • Routing design and protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, etc.)
    • Switching design and protocols
    • Campus LAN
    • Enterprise WAN
    • Internet
  • Network design using architectural and configuration best practices
  • A solid work ethic
  • Ability to maintain an optimistic, flexible attitude in a very fast-paced environment
  • Proven follow-up, follow-through and communication skills
  • Highly motivated and results-driven
  • Proven track record of delivering exceptional service to clients

  • Networking consulting services offering development and launch experience
  • Standardized deliverable creation experience
  • CISSP or other security-related certifications
  • Working knowledge and/or direct experience with:
  • Cisco Intelligent WAN (IWAN)
  • Cisco APIC-EM
  • Cisco FirePOWER, FireSIGHT, and AMP
  • Palo Alto Networks
