Purpose of role
The EMEA Services Delivery function delivers professional and or managed services to Insight’s clients across a broad range of technology and software offerings by employing methodologies and ensuring the delivery of a scaled and consistent client experience via the following centres of excellence (COEs):
• the Technology Solutions Group which, through technology and business practice leadership, takes responsibility for the overall service strategy and subsequent solutions/services development, and also governs the enterprise standard designs, processes, tools and automation that underpin Insight’s service delivery, along with complex deal solution leadership and or vendor alliance strategy for the region;
• the Consulting Services team which leads on influencing clients and designing solutions, in partnership with clients and internal account teams, before planning and executing end-to-end engagements;
• the Digital Business Transformation team which designs and implements unique and innovative solutions to address and resolve clients’ business challenges and or accelerate clients’ profitability and efficiency through the adoption of applications, data, user-experiences and change management.
• the Optimisation & Governance team which provides optimisation and compliance expertise and services to clients on-premises or in the Cloud whilst maintaining cost efficiencies and savings;
• the Managed Services team which provides high quality and efficient customer support, automation, engineering, security and or device management services to clients across the assigned regions through multiple delivery centres;
• the Services Delivery Management team, which is located in each country in EMEA and manages the client experience whilst maintaining the commercial ownership of client engagements to ensure a truly client-centric approach;
• the Services Business Operations & Transformation team which drives operational excellence and business improvements within all centres of excellence across the EMEA Services Delivery function.
The EMEA Programme Manager resides within the Services Delivery Management area of the EMEA Services Delivery function, specifically, within Project Services. The EMEA Programme Manager may also act as a Player Manager.
The EMEA Programme Manager is responsible for planning, monitoring and managing external client projects from initiation to completion and providing programme and project management guidance by using their specialist skills and expertise, and also ensures the successful delivery of largescale, high-profile and or highly complex programmes and projects.
The EMEA Programme Manager identifies and addresses any delivery issues, whatever the cause, manages client satisfaction and ensures all programmes and or projects meet any contractual obligations regarding specification, quality, cost and time.
In addition, the EMEA Programme Manager teaches, trains, coaches and mentors teammates and provides leadership to project teams consisting of internal and or external subcontracted resources, client resources and other key stakeholders.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
• Responsible for the end-to-end delivery of large and or complex programmes and projects including scoping, scheduling, costing, risk assessment, quality assurance and measurement of client satisfaction targets.
• Ensure programmes and projects are delivered successfully in accordance with Insight’s methodologies, processes and standards throughout the entire project lifecycle.
• Measure the performance of programmes and projects as well as risk exposure, also ensure comprehensive project documentation is maintained centrally.
• Responsible for ensuring high-level client satisfaction is achieved through strong delivery management and regular communication with clients and stakeholders.
• Execute programme and project contract change control and work closely with leaders where appropriate.
• Deliver all assigned programmes and projects to gross profit and or revenue targets.
• Manage assigned resources, internal and external, to achieve programme and project success.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to members of the project team and other key stakeholders.
• Provide continuous improvement suggestions to Project Services leadership including advising on solutions to improve team efficiencies and or performance.
• Provide support around tactical sales opportunities to account managers and or sales teams when requested. May also be requested to support more strategic and or high-potential sales opportunities by their manager.
• Provide support to presales efforts to help drive sales when requested.
• Teach, train, coach and mentor teammates to promote teammate satisfaction and enable career progression.
In addition, the EMEA Programme Manager may be responsible for managing a team of no more than 5 professionals and will be required to do the following:
• Manage and motivate the team to promote teammate satisfaction through mentoring, development, and career planning by creating a high performing team with a strong succession benchmark and enabling career progression.
• Manage the day-to-day operation of programmes, ensure teammates hold the right competencies and knowledge to achieve and maintain vendor certifications, and also manage profitable growth whilst balancing utilisation requirements.
• Be accountable for articulating and aligning the functional strategy in line with that of the business by providing enough tools and resources to teammates to ensure the optimum delivery of the strategy against Insight’s goals.
