UK-based with regular travel (3-5 times per week) to client sites

Role Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Microsoft Unified Communications Engineer to join an ongoing project focused on delivering cloud-based communication solutions. This role involves supporting the roll-out and go-live activities for Microsoft Teams Phone, as well as the physical deployment of endpoint devices across sites. You will work closely with consultants and project managers, providing technical expertise and hands-on implementation across the customer estate.
Key Responsibilities:
Deployment, configuration, and testing of Microsoft Teams Phone devices.
Floorwalking, white-glove assistance, and day 1 support during site migrations.
Support consultants and project managers to achieve go-live milestones for UC projects.
Troubleshooting, resolution, and escalation of issues during go-live.
Ensure compliance with security and operational standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Provide on-site support across multiple client locations (3-5 times per week).
Essential Skills & Experience:
Proven experience with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams Phone, and the associated ecosystem.
Knowledge of telephony systems, including physical phone hardware setup and configuration.
Ability to work independently against a set programme of work and delivery standards.
Familiarity with networking fundamentals related to voice and UC solutions.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Additional Requirements:
Must be eligible for SC clearance.
Willingness to travel regularly (3-5 times per week) to client sites across the UK.
Desirable Skills:
Experience with SIP trunking, PBX systems, and VoIP technologies.
Previous experience in large-scale UC deployments.
