The Solution Architect is a functional and technical expert consulting with customers on implementing ServiceNow solutions based on best practices with the goal of accelerating and driving customer business outcomes. The role requires business acumen in the technology along with deep product expertise, to solve the most relevant customer challenges, providing support, on direct engagements with our Customers and Partners, and advocating for customer needs within ServiceNow.
Key duties and responsibilities
- Serve as a key technical advisor and advocate, scoping and delivering proof of concepts on engagements to validate the practicality and effectiveness of solutions.
- Design and deliver ServiceNow solutions designed for long-term success and following ServiceNow technical standards and leading practices.
- Lead technical discovery sessions, thoroughly understand complex data integration challenges and requirements, and translate them into effective ServiceNow-based solutions.
- Closely collaborate with sales, products, engineering and delivery teams to ensure comprehensive solution alignment and successful project execution.
- Responding to request for information/proposal documents, contributing to the company's competitive bidding processes. Effectively driving sales targets with tailored solutions.
- Keeping up to date with the latest product developments on ServiceNow, Data Fabric, NowAssist, Agentic AI, and maintaining a keen understanding of the competitive landscape.
Desirable skills
- Strong technical background with data ingestion tools, ETL processes, data modelling, storage solutions (relational and NoSQL databases), and analytics platforms.
- Deep familiarity with integration technologies, including REST APIs, SOAP, JSON, JDBC, data pipelines, streaming data platforms, and middleware technologies.
- Working knowledge of software development practices and proficiency in programming languages and technologies such as JavaScript, AngularJS, ReactJS, HTML5, CSS, SQL, Python, or equivalent.
- Experience with low-code/no-code application development platforms; familiarity with ServiceNow platform is strongly preferred.
- Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analysing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's potential impact on the function or industry.
- Strong aptitude toward communicating complex business and technical concepts using visualization and modelling aids conducting solutions presentations and obtaining customer acceptance to solution designs
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, able to influence and consult senior leaders, engaging a diverse persona ranging from technical teams to executive-level decision-makers.
