Insight Enterprises is a Fortune 500 Solutions Integrator helping organizations accelerate transformation by unlocking the power of people and technology.
With a 35-year foundation in hardware and software supply chain augmenting our deep expertise in cloud, data, AI, cybersecurity, and intelligent edge, we guide organizations through complex digital decisions to achieve extraordinary results.
We are looking for an Account Principal within the Google Solution Line (GSL) at Insight.
You will be a key member of our Industry and Delivery Leadership team. You possess a proven record of leading transformational programmes, driving customer value, and accelerating high-margin services growth. Aligned to the Professional Services organisation and leading our most strategic accounts, your mission is to move Insight from a vendor to a strategic consulting partner. While your primary domain expertise lies in collaboration transformation with tools like Google Workspace, you will leverage your deep customer relationships to unlock the full Insight portfolio. You will own 1–3 strategic accounts, providing the "adult in the room" leadership required for commercial strategy, strategic growth, and complex account management.
So, if this is of interest to you then we would be keen to hear from you!
● Travel: Ability to travel up to 20% to customer sites and conferences as required.
As a Strategic Account Principal, you will:
● Delivery Leadership & Governance.
● Act as the "delivery CEO" of your designated accounts, collaborating with PMO leads (COO/CFO) and Enterprise Architects (CTO).
● Own the professional services narrative, ensuring delivery excellence across $1M+ (USD) contracts.
● Manage matrixed structures to ensure the right mix of onshore, offshore, senior, and junior resources to deliver value while protecting project margins.
● Lead delivery of strategic business reviews and executive steering committee meetings.
Strategic Planning & Growth:
● Maintain customer strategic roadmaps that transition accounts from transactional procurement to high-value consulting partnerships.
● Identify and drive cross-solution opportunities across the entire Insight portfolio, including ServiceNow, Microsoft, and AI-driven data strategies, led by your Workspace engagement.
● Partner with sales leadership to grow customer relationships from a profitability and long-term sustainability standpoint.
● Develop deep domain/industry expertise to act as a primary business advisor to the C-Suite.
Commercial & Operational Excellence:
● Manage multi-party commercials, including Long-Term Services Agreements (LTSAs) and Google PSO (subcontracting) engagements.
● Drive delivery outcomes while maintaining strict oversight of budget burn rates, resource allocations, and account profitability.
● Own delivery risk mitigation and handle executive-level escalations with poise.
● Coach and mentor Account Principals and Senior Consultants on the team to build a high-performing delivery culture.
What we are looking for:
● Experience of advisory, typically including time as a former Practice Lead, CIO/CTO, or career consultant.
● Leadership Focus: At least 5 years in client/account management or leading large-scale digital transformation programmes.
● Technical Domain: Demonstrated experience leading teams in major implementations or migrations of Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
● Commercial Mastery: Proven ability to navigate complex contracting models and drive services sales from plan to implementation.
● Influencing: Expert ability to communicate and influence at the C-Suite and Executive level.
● Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of professional services operational metrics, including utilisation and margin protection.
