The Global TA team also partner on key strategic recruitment initiatives in their local market such as employer branding, talent market research, recruitment technology implementation and diversity inclusion & belonging initiatives to ultimately acquire top talent with a focus on time, cost, quality & diversity, contributing to the strategic success of Insight.

 

The Talent Acquisition Senior Recruiter leads and develops the hiring strategy for a particular market or business function. This means delivery of hiring metrics along with overseeing key TA strategic projects for their area of ownership which can include; employer branding, diversity inclusion and belonging, talent acquisition tech stack development, market and data insights. 

 

The TA Senior Recruiter is expected to build a deep understanding of the business area, including strategic objectives and talent strategy in partnership with leaders and HR. The Senior Recruiter also builds a holistic view of key strategic priorities impacting recruitment such as attrition, long-term quality of hire and external market data/changes.  

 

The TA Senior Recruiter is confident in leading strategic hiring initiatives with stakeholders at all levels, advising on best practice and challenging where required, in the interests of the overall business outcome and candidate experience.

 

The TA Senior Recruiter starts every conversation with the intent to build, develop, and maintain strategic relationships with candidates. They also understand the company and lead the effort in longterm hiring plans, teaching, training, coaching, and mentoring other TA teammates along the way. 

 

Key responsibilities:

 

Next Gen/BAU Hiring

  • Actively participate in strategic planning, recruiting activity, and initiatives related to the acquisition of technical recruitment, and the management of large/high impact or complex projects with high internal exposure.
  • In conjunction with the TA Manager, execute the TA strategy; leveraging available resources to build a diverse and robust talent pipeline for any current and or future vacancies.
  • Partner with key leadership members to formalise, support and implement an employer branding strategy across numerous channels. 
  • Proactively provide suggestions and updates to the TA strategy;
    • ensuring key business issues relating to attraction and retention are solved,
    • strengthening the position of Insight in the employment market by proactively posting key articles and highlighting the direction of the business to build a pipeline,
    • enabling the efficient flow of new candidates and providing efficient management of the recruitment and selection processes including through the incorporation of technology.

 

  • Implement a range of sourcing and attraction initiatives including the proactive identification and approach of potential candidates using recruitment tools (such as LinkedIn or industry forums), continuously forging networks into target talent markets.
  • Create and implement robust recruitment processes that enhance the candidate experience whilst improving recruitment KPIs. 
  • Increase Insight’s existing candidate base through the development of closer, cross functional relationships, expanding services utilised.
  • Challenge potentially poor hiring decisions and lead the assessment process to ensure that only the best candidates are offered positions. 
  • Devise initiatives that support active internal recruitment and seek to promote and develop the existing skills base through the Career Structures framework.  
  • Continue to improve and refine communication by constantly seeking feedback from candidates, new hires, and teammates.  
  • Encourage and enable teammates to become brand ambassadors by providing training to teammates on areas such as social media, the use of guidelines and tool kits, and seek active involvement in the creation of content and sharing of messages.
  • Continue to explore new sourcing channels, improvement processes, and content creation including niche agencies, specialist job boards and additional social media platforms. 
  • Work closely with HR and management on all diversity initiatives involving recruitment to ensure fairness in selection and hiring practices.
  • Manage local relationships to support with language needs at 1st stage interviews.
  • Execute a social media plan with planned out relevant, engaging articles aligned to the Social Media calendar to build brand awareness and continuously support the internal and external strategy.
  • Become a member of relevant communities and social media groups to build brand awareness along with personal knowledge and ensure a greater level of engagement and credibility in the market with potential candidates.
  • Take a proactive approach to self-development; grow skillset in recruitment, communication, and the technology industry, and ensure knowledge is up to date and relevant to accommodates credible conversation.
  • Teach, train, coach, and mentor teammates; promoting teammate satisfaction and enabling career progression.

Technical Search

In addition to the above key duties and responsibilities the TA Senior Recruiter may be required to:

  • Gather and maintain accurate market, client, and candidate information to facilitate both the search process and our overarching market intelligence initiatives.
  • Personally identify, negotiate, and develop long term profitable relationships with key candidates in niche sectors. 
  • Proactively take ownership of the technical activity pipeline; ensure delivery of targets, create a clear vision for the business, and ensure the pipeline is ready for the everchanging landscape.
  • Hold a strong social presence in relevant groups/meetings; post articles and materials linked to target audience through internal contacts. 
  • Form strong alliances with key partners and industry experts to grow Insight’s online presence through webinar interviews.
  • Act as an ambassador for Insight’s Services function, use sales skills and knowledge to articulate the vision and cultivate future pipelines through credible conversations.
  • Clearly articulate technical trends and Insight’s value proposition. 
  • Attend educational events and recruitment fairs to proactively source new talent based on personas.

 Key skills and experience required:

  • Prior experience as an in-house recruiting business partner, talent acquisition manager or similar role Educated to degree level or can demonstrate equivalent work experience
  • High level of written and spoken English
  • Fully conversant with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, and Word) -Proficient in using company software and databases to connect with and reach out to potential candidates
  • Demonstrates hunger and desire to be successful in role, a positive attitude, is full of energy and new ideas and stimulates change or progress within a system or process
  • Demonstrates capacity to source relevant organisational information to understand future business needs and pre-empt potential project risks, issues, and challenges
  • Previous experience developing and executing recruiting, marketing, and branding strategies -Ability to look for solutions to meet business needs that inform process change and the development of initiatives
  • A passion and high level of skill for all thing’s recruitment related and a genuine interest in
  • marketing and social media
  • A self-developer, acts as a role model, invests time in their own development and encourages others
  • Ability to influence and build relationships at a senior level with ease and manage difficult conversations diplomatically
  • A solid understanding of how businesses operate, understands roles in different functions, able to navigate a matrix organisation
  • Excellent interviewing skills and able to question and probe in interview situations and discern candidate’s suitability both technically and behaviourally
  • Strong networking and interpersonal skills, the ability to exercise diplomacy, and build partnerships and consensus within teams and amongst other stakeholders
  • Deep knowledge of the technical market, software business, and technical trends -Ability to understand technologies and to keep abreast of technology trends
  • Experienced in hiring niche and/or highly technical professionals in a fast-paced environment -Exceptional organisation skills, experience of successfully delivering multiple complex projects to strict deadlines
  • Interacts with all stakeholders in ways that demonstrate respect of social and cultural differences, and a commitment to challenging attendant social inequities -Experience of working within a globally diverse environment, showing an understanding of and keen interest in equality, diversity, and inclusion
  • Experience of managing strategic talent projects such as EVP, succession planning, and total talent attraction strategies 
  • Extremely well-organised and analytical with an ability to work well under pressure
