We are looking for a UC Senior Project Manager to work in our area of the EMEA Services Delivery function.
***This position is offered as a 2 year fixed-term contract***
The Senior Project Manager resides within the Service Design & Delivery area of the EMEA Services Delivery function and, specifically, within the Project Management Office.The Senior Project Manager bears the ultimate responsibility for successfully delivering medium to large projects, and for providing leadership to project teams consisting of internal and or subcontracted client resources and stakeholders.
The Senior Project Manager provides a higher level and wider scope of management to projects and project teams and also has the authority to run projects and delegates tasks to individual Project Manager. The Senior Project Manager is also responsible for the day-to-day management of the project, scope and schedule management, risk and issue management, finance and cost control management, and resource and people management.
In addition, the Senior Project Manager provides a consistent approach to project delivery, the utilization of tools and methodologies, and the reporting of governance information.
Location: Sheffield, Manchester or Uxbridge Work Setup: Hybrid (3x a week in the office)
As a UC Senior Project Manager your Responsibilities are:
- Teach, train, coach, and mentor teammates; promoting teammate satisfaction and enabling career progression.
- Responsible for the end-to-end delivery of medium-to-large projects including project scope, schedule, cost, risk management, quality, and customer satisfaction targets.
- Responsible for successful delivery of projects through the entire project lifecycle in accordance with Insight methodologies, processes, and best practice standards.
- Measuring project performance, managing risk, and ensuring the maintenance of comprehensive project documentation.
- Responsible for achieving high Client satisfaction through clear and regular communication with Clients and stakeholders.
- Execute project contract change control, working with leaders as appropriate.
- Deliver assigned projects against budget and to GP targets.
- Manage assigned internal and external resources to achieve project success.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to project team members.
- Provide support for tactical sales opportunities to account managers as directed
- Support pre-sales efforts assigned to help drive sales.
In addition, the Senior Project Manager may be responsible for managing a team of no more than 5 professionals and will be required to:
- Manage and motivate the team, to promote teammate satisfaction through mentoring, development, and career planning, creating a high performing team with a strong succession benchmark, enabling career progression.
- Be responsible for the day-to-day operation of projects, managing profitable growth, and ensuring a high utilization of the team.
- Be accountable for articulating and aligning the functional strategy in line with that of the business by providing enough tools and resources to teammates to ensure the optimum delivery of the strategy against Insight’s goals.
Experience and Skills:
- Experience in Microsoft UC and Telecommunications.
- Fully conversant with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, and Word).
- Holds relevant professional Project Management qualification, accreditation and or certification (such as PRINCE2, PMP).
- Project management experience with a working knowledge of project management practices and methodologies.
- Shows a deep understanding of IT.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with managers and senior members across the organisation, and external stakeholders.
- Excellent project management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organisational skills, prioritising and working to tight deadlines.
- In-sector operational experience; understanding of sales processes and ability recognise and advance sales opportunities.
