We are looking for a Partner Manager to work in our Strategic Alliance function of the business.

 

You will be responsible for managing vendor relationships, it is important to establish clear communication channels, set goals and expectations through business plans, and regularly review performance metrics to ensure mutual success. It is also important to understand the vendor's business model, product offerings and programs, market position to identify areas for collaboration and growth opportunities and be the liaison between sales teams.

 

Overall, successful vendor management requires a collaborative and strategic approach, with a focus on building long-term relationships based on mutual trust and value creation.

As a Partner Manager your Responsibilities are:

 

  • Manage strategic business relationships across vendor accounts and encourage the cross collaboration of key stakeholders in Sales and Marketing to ensure alignment with vendor growth objectives.
  • Lead the in-country yearly business plan process: collect input and leverage from the global alliance team framework and align with key local stakeholders, agree on key growth initiatives, investments, MDF, execution milestones, and success metrics (business scorecard metrics).
  • Own the execution of the business plan against defined milestone and metrics, drive landing by engaging with the local Sales & Marketing organisation to secure readiness, go-to-market offerings, on time launch of the campaigns, and sales execution. Drive the monthly and quarterly performance assessment within Insight and with the vendor and lead necessary cause corrections/actions.
  • Accountable for achievement against revenue and profit-based targets, building and maintaining accurate weekly reporting of the pipeline, forecast, and activities, to deliver against future revenue and GP targets.
  • Responsible for translating and cascading departmental goals to the team, and for ensuring and nurturing a sense of ownership and alignment to the departmental strategy.
  • Use vendor global funds to drive special investment initiatives for Insight.

 

Experience and Skills:

  

  • Proven consultative and sales experience, demonstrates considerable experience within technology (services or software) and can provide evidence of prior success and consistent overachievement against targets.
  • Fully conversant with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, and Word).
  • Demonstrable experience of managing and motivating a high performing team within a fast-paced, target driven environment.
  • A team-player who can work successfully within a diverse team in a mutually supportive way (including with technical and sales teammates in multiple/virtual locations).
  • Proven record of successful Partner Account/Partner Alliance relationship management.
  • Extensive client facing sales experience, ability to win client confidence, and deliver client demonstrations with professional authority and ease.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of modern business processes and trends and the impact of leading-edge IT solutions.
  • A desire to learn more, develop professionally, and stay up to date with new technologies and advancements.
  • In-depth knowledge of the vendor product strategy and product offerings.
