Vendor Product Specialist - HPE

The Vendor Product Specialist drives the successful growth of the partner business within Insight, executing against the agreed Go To Market Strategy outlined in the joint business plan and assessing business investment funds to ensure that Insight have an up to date view on where both internal and external funding is available.


Duties will include:


  • Develop Insight’s strategy for HPE’s product, provide guidance to Sales, Product Management and Marketing teams on the execution of that strategy
  • Develop partner-based propositions as part of Insight’s solutions portfolio that will drive client acquisition, retention, penetration and re-activation
  • Respond to vendor requests via an online portal answering queries regarding purchase orders and funding and communicates regularly with the sales teams to provide oversight on funding availability
  • Conduct a quarterly review and analysis to identify funding opportunities and maintain sound systems integrity, by ensuring accuracy for products in Insight’s internal systems
  • Manage vendor funding opportunities thereby increasing overall profitability for the country sales team
  • Ensure the delivery of relevant training and go to market materials to the Sales team that support Insight’s strategy


Skills required:


  • Significant experience of supporting and specifying partner based solutions in a commercial or public sector environment
  • Experience of working within the channel, in an account team environment, and effective engagement of cross functional teams
  • Demonstrable ability of effectively presenting information and responding in a professional manner to internal colleagues and clients
  • Previous IT industry experience within the IT infrastructure industry, gained in either a partner, reseller or services business.
