Our Insight Cloud+Data Center Transformation team is searching for an experienced, passionate and professional Voice Engineer to join our team.

Voice Engineer  

Bachelor’s Degree (or Master’s) in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or similar.  Position requires 5-7 years of hands-on experience within similar industry.  Familiarity with the following systems desirable:  Windows, Cisco Systems, PBX technologies.  Must be able to work with both ends of basic level testing as well as high level testing and documentation.  Must have a proven track record of leading teams, mentoring, and grooming other personnel. 

  • Minimum of 5 experience as a Cisco voice system engineer 
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office Suite. Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.  
  • Experience with extensive design, configuration and implementation of Cisco VoIP, UC, and (to a limited extent) legacy technologies.    
  • Expertise in CUCM 11.x, provisioning of WAN and PSTN circuits to provide sufficient capacity for on-net and off-net voice traffic. 
  • Understanding of complex/global dial plans, including E.164. 
  • Experienced in troubleshooting and configuring Cisco UBE and/or other Cisco IOS voice gateways, including provisioning of dial peers, understanding trunk groups, translation patterns, T1/PRI circuits. 
  • Experience with H.323, SIP, SCCP and MGCP gateways and endpoints. 
  • Experience in low-voltage cabling 
  • Experience with Overhead paging and PA systems integration 
  • Experience with legacy PBX (Avaya, Nortel) 
  • Experience in dealing with toll free provisioning.   
  • Vendor coordination with toll free providers and maintenance providers. 
  • Experience in deploying medium to large scale Cisco UC integrations. 
  • Experience in designing, integrating, and/or troubleshooting Cisco UC issues in a multi-vendor environment. 
  • Experience with analog wall fields, and Cross-Connect procedures. 
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in all areas of Voice Implementation 
  • Ability to communicate and lead members of project effectively   
  • CCNA, CCVA, or CCDP is a plus 
  • Experience with; de-mark extension, analog cross connects, punch down on 66 and 110 blocks.
