Your Mission

As an Associate Cloud Platform Engineer at SADA, an Insight Company as an Associate Cloud Platform Engineer you will work collaboratively to deliver high-quality infrastructure projects on Google Cloud Platform for our cloud and hybrid-cloud customers. You will have an opportunity to work on real-world problems facing our customers in the field. Engagements vary from being purely consultative to requiring heavy hands-on work, and cover a range of domain areas, such as workload migrations from on-prem or other clouds to GCP, standing up experimental infrastructures on GCP, building hybrid-cloud solutions on top of Kubernetes and Anthos, and developing fully automated CI/CD pipelines.

Expectations

Experience - No prior professional experience is required. We welcome individuals who are eager to learn, grow, and contribute to the team.

Communication - Can articulate an issue concisely, can weigh the pros and cons, and can advocate a position based on reasoned argument.

Customer Facing - You can expect to interact with a range of customer stakeholders, including engineers, technical project managers, and executives on a regular basis.

Possible Travel - 5-10% travel to customer sites, conferences, and other related events. 

Work Timings - This role requires availability for evening calls when necessary to support cross-timezone collaboration, address urgent project requirements, or attend scheduled evening team meetings.

Onboarding/Training - The first 3-6 months will be mostly dedicated to learning and to encompass learning materials/assignments and compliance training, as well as meetings with relevant individuals. Details of the timeline are shared closer to the start date.

Job Requirements

Required Credentials:

• Google Cloud Architect Certified or able to complete within the first 60-75 days of employment. 

Useful Qualifications

• Novice knowledge of Cloud Platforms such as GCP, AWS, Azure

• Awareness of current industry trends and emerging technologies

• Understanding of basic architecture principles across infrastructure, security, and application layers

• Familiarity with container concepts and basic Docker operations

• Basic knowledge of information security practices

• Beginner Experience with common virtualization platforms (VMware, KVM, or similar)

• Understanding of systems monitoring and performance metrics
