As a Senior Software Engineer - Fullstack, you will design and develop cloud-native applications that seamlessly integrate frontend and backend technologies to deliver efficient, scalable, and user-centric solutions. You’ll work across the entire stack to build responsive interfaces and robust APIs, ensuring high performance and an exceptional user experience.

In this role, you will leverage modern frontend and backend frameworks alongside Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services to solve diverse business challenges. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams and support clients across industries, gaining broad technical exposure and continuously enhancing your skill set in a dynamic, customer-focused environment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Leadership & Mentorship

• Mentor, coach, and upskill engineers through pairing, code reviews, and technical guidance to raise team capability and support career growth.

• Unblock teammates on complex technical problems and guide them toward pragmatic, well-reasoned solutions.

• Lead larger, more complex projects end to end with high autonomy, owning delivery, quality, and stakeholder communication.

Solution Design & Development

• Design end-to-end solutions, defining functional, non-functional, and security requirements across front-end, back-end, data, and AI layers.

• Build scalable back-end services and APIs using C#, .NET (ASP.NET Core, Web API), Entity Framework, REST, and SQL Server.

• Develop responsive, accessible, high-performance front-end applications using TypeScript/JavaScript and modern frameworks (React or Angular).

• Own solutions from design through deployment and production support, collaborating across teams where needed.

AI Engineering (Google Cloud)

• Design and integrate AI-powered features using Vertex AI and the Gemini API, including prompt design, structured outputs, and function calling.

• Build retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and agentic workflows using Vertex AI Agent Builder, Vertex AI Search, Vector Search, and the Agent Development Kit (ADK).

• Apply GCP AI services such as Document AI, Speech-to-Text, and Vision AI to automate business processes and extract value from unstructured data.

• Evaluate, ground, and monitor model outputs for accuracy, cost, latency, and responsible AI compliance.

• Use AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Gemini Code Assist) to accelerate delivery while maintaining code quality and security standards.

Quality, Delivery & Operations

• Enforce engineering standards through automated testing (xUnit/NUnit, Jest), documentation, and rigorous peer code reviews.

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployments on Google Cloud (Cloud Build, Cloud Run, GKE, Artifact Registry), with infrastructure as code where applicable.

• Implement observability using Cloud Logging, Cloud Monitoring, and alerting to ensure reliability and fast incident response.

• Participate in incident management and follow change management processes, meeting agreed service levels.

• Deliver within the Scrum framework, providing accurate and transparent progress updates.

Continuous Improvement

• Identify and eliminate inefficiencies, automating repetitive processes wherever possible.

• Stay current with the .NET, JavaScript, and Google Cloud AI ecosystems, and translate new capabilities into practical recommendations for the team and clients.

• Write clean, well-tested, well-documented, reusable code with clear APIs that is easy to extend and refactor.

Job Requirements

• Educated to degree level or can demonstrate equivalent work experience

• High level of written and spoken English 

• Software Specific: Strong C# and .NET skills (ASP.NET Core, Web API), Entity Framework Core, and modern TypeScript/JavaScript with React or Angular.

• Experience with JBoss, Zookeeper, Linkerd

• Ability to provide effective leadership,  build positive team spirit and inspire,  motivate, and support teammates

• Proven ability to communicate effectively  with managers and senior members  across the organisation, and external  stakeholders

• Experience with Elastic Search, SOLR,  Lucene, or other document-store  technologies

• Knowledge of API, Microservices,  containers, REST, Systems Integration

• Experience with Unix/Linux scripting,  Ansible or Chef like configuration  management tools

• Excellent presentation and communication  skills with the ability to interact  confidentially with all levels of teammates

• Experience with Scrum and DevOps  frameworks and recommendations, as  well as with process analysis, problem  solving and system testing including user  acceptance testing and bug fixes
